LNEG, the National Laboratory of Energy and Geology, Laboratório Nacional de Energia e Geologia is a Portuguese Governmental Research Institute. As a recognised R&D Centre with expertise in the bioenergy field, LNEG develops various activities that include R&D, services, teaching and training. The Bioenergy Unit currently operates 4 R&D programmes: Biomass Deconstruction; Cell Factories and Enzymes; Biochemical Engineering; and Microalgae for Bioenergy.
